Feathered Chic

As a makeup artist I am always looking for new inspirations on technique, style and color theory and this photoshoot shot by photographer Ashely Champagne has struck that chord seamlessly.

The shoot's whimsical styling (by Kyla Kazeil and Stacey Boruk) and ethereal illustration after effects add a certain dimension that feels refreshingly new without losing the timeless, vintage feel of the garments. I am reminded of vintage color photos, the ones you might find in your grandma's cabinet. The colors are always slightly off and have a yellow and pinkish hue that creates a pastel glow. I completely adore it.

Fall/Winter '10 is all about animals. Prints, fabrics, textures and accessories will be honing man's best friend all winter long, so I love that they are keeping with the trend in the illustration.

Adore adore. Thank you Hey Georgie Magazine for the great inspiration!
